Ok Privacy policy. There is only the TCXO which remains rather small. In the table below, you will find the pinout to follow according to the board. If you are interested to participate in a possible future new grouped order, leave your email below to be reported!

Email :. Seem to have a problem a soon i connect the TCXO. STM link gives errors. I do not understanding how it can be a link with the STM programming failing, and the C I have mounted 22nF for C22, but 22pF is the normal value. If you can, have a try with 22pF. Actually, have you suppress C22 and put a strap for continuity of the signal? Yes i tryed with a bridge on C Same problem. Dit not try that yet. Werid this is. A soon a remove C22 or the bridge. I do not know if this shield is existing somewhere.

Thanks your effort. And I would like to ask a question. Traduction Bonjour Merci de votre travail. The supply must be 3,3V. I will precise it above. Thank for remarks. Merci pour les remarques.

It should have been connected to pin 17 CN7! For those who would have realized the board based on the Gerber v1 file, you can correct this problem by opening C22 upper pin and connect it with a little wire to pin 17 of CN7 9th row, right side of the board.

Traduction Merci pour la correction et tous vos efforts, Christian! Voici une image de la modif. So besides the C22 pin 15 of CN7 problem. Does the C22 also unnecessary, which can be removed short the pins together. As you want, you can remove C22 like Tom has done see above on picture or let C22 online. If pin15 is in high impedence eg. Traduction Voici une platine V1 avec correction plus sympa.

Played with levels and looked ADC input with scope.Curiously the technical description of the product has nothing to do in my opinion with what the amplifier is. It is also available on other sales sites. It was delivered to me exactly 10 calendar days after its online order. Reception is contracted to the postman. The package arrived pretty battered. Inside, the case packed in several layers of bubble paper, accompanied by a long 1.

The characteristics label of the amplifier bg7sgm. The first thing we noticed: the side plates carrying the plugs were somewhat distorted. This is certainly due to the fact that the two half-shells are slightly offset to one another.

Amplifier for hotspots?

Effect of transport or inaccurate assembly? The input channel is a female SMA jack. I would have preferred to see a N or BNC connector. Surprise: The socket turns a quarter turn … It will be necessary to open the side panel. The four screws deposited, I find a fault.

The socket is desoldered, it turns around the central pine that remains welded. One leg of the plug is broken. The center female pin is no longer in its proper position in the insulation.

The spindle retreated, and the body advanced! It is certain that, as it stands, the contact with the plug will not be made. The soldering iron is heated and I correct the problem by successfully pushing the center female pin in its insulation. The box being open, is an opportunity to show you its contents. The module is fixed on a large radiator integrated in the case. I add banana plugs to the power cord. The antenna is connected at the output of the UHF amplifier.

The amplifier is switched off, with low power output 1W. The signal received by the repeater is dBm S6. The amplifier is on, the input always being in low power 1W.

The test runs show that the amplifier is also operating in FM mode, with an established carrier. This means that a quarter of the power is returned by the mismatch of the amplifier to the transmitter.

S21IL Member. Planning on getting a hotspot or a more DIY approach. But looking at the specs of them, the 10 mW Tx power seems to be a deal breaker. Looking to get enough power to go around a metres or a kilometre at.

I guess conventional amplifiers won't work due to tdma :s Sent from my Redmi 4X using Tapatalk. Joined Aug 17, Messages S21IL said:. Not sure but you might run into coordination issues running higher power. Have you maximized antenna and coax efficiency? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. N2AL Member. Reduces repeater costs and allows better coverage where people would use it. These amplifiers are designed for much greater power than what the hotspots put out and may not key up reliably. I also see the build quality of the Chinese amps is very questionable. I saw this YouTube video online. The amplifier is pretty stout so I would say you can turn the transmit power down to the needed range. I hope this video helps! Half Duplex UHF Power Amplifier AMP For MMDVM Hotspot DMR DPMR P25 C4FM SFK

Mine came with absolutely no directions. Not even an idea which port was the power port. But, youtube -specifically hamradioconcepts - will teach you all you need. Also, the QST for February had great directions like the login is pi-star and the pw is raspberry.

Otherwise, it was fun to set up and work with my TH D74 on D-star only. It's important to understand that this is not a single, well defined product from one of the big three amateur radio manufacturers. These little hotspots are churned out by a variety of small Chinese board makers and the quality can be pretty unpredictable. That said, they are cheap and simple, so if you get a dud, you are not risking a lot of money and, once you get it going, it is a great deal of fun! I'm an experienced IT developer, so I had no difficulty downloading the software and getting it up and running - I had my first QSO on Yaesu Fusion within half an hour of opening the package that had arrived in the post.

I spent another couple of hours reading and tweaking the configuration and soon was talking to people all over the world on both Fusion and DStar.

I have now bought a cheap Nextion screen to add to it and I'm abandoning the little folded metal case for a larger one that I'm printing up on our 3D printer. OK - it's not proper ham radio, but it is a lot of fun My board came with one of those little OLED screens - and it didn't work out of the box, even after the software was configured. Close examination of the PCB revealed that there was a thin solder tail bridging a couple of pins - these are cheap boards knocked up in somebody's garage in the back streets of Peking, after all!

A quick puff with the rework gun cleared that and it all worked fine. These are cheap devices that work remarkably well - but the prospective purchaser must be realistic about them. You can buy one of the high end hotspots off-the-shelf for a couple of hundred pounds and reasonably expect it to "just work".

These little Jumbospots cost a quarter of that price and, once you have them set up, they can do everything that the expensive hotspots can. But you will have to be prepared to do some reading, some hacking and even, possibly, a bit of solder rework! I bought my first mmdvm, as a finished device, from an Amazon seller.

The mmdvm just would not respond any of my 3 DMR handhelds. The plan was to operate each mode on widely enough seperated RF frequencies such that desense would not be a problem between them or my radios.
